Thomas F. Eckert D.P.M.
Dr. Eckert has been practicing podiatry in Tyler since 1970 in private practice. He also serves as the Chief of the Department of Podiatry at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital and is also affiliated with East Texas Medical Center, UT Health Northeast and Texas Spine and Joint Hospitals.
Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, he is one of the few doctors in Texas who specializes in biomechanics. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. He also serves as the Chief of Podiatry at Bethesda Health Clinic where he volunteers his services.
As a past president of the South Tyler Rotary Club and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, Dr. Eckert’s roots in Tyler grow deep. He also officiated high school and college football games for 37 years. He and his wife, Mary Ann, have been married since 1966. Originally from Kilgore, Mary Ann is heavily involved in activities at Marvin Methodist Church, being the wedding coordinator. She is a community volunteer serving as a past president of the Junior League of Tyler, Hospice of East Texas, and the Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County. Together they have two grown sons and seven grandchildren. Jeff is a commercial real estate executive in Dallas, and Scott is a neuro-radiologist practicing in Tyler.
